Resume of 'Effect of Usage New Methods on Historical Art Restoration Educational' by Haiedeh Khamseh, Abhar Branch



Historical monuments as the culture and civilization heritage have to be conserved by the following generation. Especially by the students in the higher educational level who will be the future conservators that are obliged to protect their country's culture which belongs to their ancestors. Thus, students are encouraged to have new points of view about the best method to restore so that in the future, restoration can be planned and run effectively. To achieve this goal, students need to be teached analysis of pathology according to the result of new technical methods which give the student new ideas in their research.

Restoration is a new science which formed by other sciences. Restoration can be used to protect historical, science, and also ancient technology. But even though the new method is considered more effective and efficient than the old method, that doesn't mean it's no use to learn the ancient way. Because learning the ancient way could help on understand how it works better. Knowing the old method can help to choose the correct conservation plan and make the students active. For example, by learning it, conservator and students could recognize relation in between erosion rate and monument materials is supported the conservation because organic materials are too sensitive towards changing environment, but inorganic materials are more resistant than organic materials. In conclusion, there's a reason why it has been used this whole time and it's never useless to learn it.

One of the methods that has been used is nanotechnology. The usage of this technology causes change in material structure. Nano technology can turn material characteristics better. For example, Nano metals on fibers make them resistant in front of UV, Bacteria, relative humidity. The other method that also changes the conservator's mind is laser. Laser cleaning is a green process without secondary waste, run-off, and dust.
